Here, oh traveller, you may fill your cup freely as I provide you with poems. May we at the House of Verse easy your passage.
Our Change
The wanderer, on moonrise, spoke:
We must work through hot ice and cold snow
Which are here, beneath the shadow
To live out a year, a day, at a time
To feel full from the richest air
To help those lost, shivering and murmuring
Come safely to the fold
To help them sleep or lie,
Gentle as a spring after winter
This, our change, you could say is love
My Lord
If you knew my Lord you would love and follow him too. He is patient, he is kind, He does not envy or boast, and he is proud. He is not rude or self seeking, he is not easily angered; he does not keep a record of wrongs. He takes not delight in evil, but rejoices in the truth. He always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres. He never fails.
His name is Jesus
Whither I Wander
Whither I wander
Bring me back to days of my youth
When all the lands were bright
and stars were seen at night
When all is dark and lost
Bring me back to days of my youth
Rekindle Your fire within me
And take command again
When all seems lost
Bring me back to the haunts of my youth
All that was bright is now drab and gray
But it rekindles a hope and a joy
Oh! for the days of my youth
When I walked in your light
Light of hope and Light of joy!
Whenever I Wander
Whenever I wander,
Take me back, oh Lord of my youth.
Light my life like you did
Speak as spoke in my youth
When all is dark and lost
Take me back, oh Lord of my youth
Rekindle Your fire within me
And take the helm again
When all seems lost to the gloom
Take me back once again
Repeat the words you spoke in my youth
Rekindle my hope and my joy
When all seems dark, and I'm blind
Take me back yet again
Open the hearth of my heart
Rekindle Your flame within
When my heart seems to flicker,
And my life's light burns low
Please take me back this last time
